The Logistics Firm is a third party logistics agency, specializing in full truckload shipping, less than truckload shipping, rail/intermodal, auto transport, as well as owner operator and small fleet dispatching.  As a Logistics Account Manager at The Logistics Firm, you will be responsible for making contacts at, and building professional relationships with shippers, to assist them in transporting their freight with one of our carrier partners, from one point to another.  You will be the face of the company, servicing your clients 24/7/365, while providing the best service in the industry, becoming their go-to logistics professional.

This industry is fast paced, hectic, and oftentimes extremely stressful, but it can yield 6 figure yearly earnings for those that have, and do what it takes to be successful.  If you've been in sales prior, I challenge you to enter the logistics industry and become a success.  For those who have what it takes, there's no better industry that truly has unlimited income potential, along with the excitement that logistics offers.  No two days will be alike, and you will learn something new every single day of your career.

Your responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
- A ton of initial and follow up phone calls to prospects that need freight moved (if you don't like the phone, do not apply)
-Prospecting and signing new contracted carrier partners to utilize our dispatch department to manage their fleets
- Utilizing our transportation management system to build, dispatch and track loads
- Utilizing our customer relationship management system to stay organized and close/service clients
- Handling yourself in a professional and ethical manner at all times
- Doing whatever it takes to make yourself a success

Candidates must:
-Have great computer skills
-Have great phone skills
-Not get discouraged easily (if you've made 100 calls, that 101st call could add $50k per year to your earnings!)
-Have the undying passion to be a success
While logistics experience is not required, sales experience is a plus. If you have the drive, we probably have a seat for you.

Carrier Sales Representative

Career Description

The Logistics Firm is a third party logistics agency, specializing in full truckload shipping, less than truckload shipping, rail/intermodal, auto transport, as well as owner operator and small fleet dispatching.  As a Carrier Sales Representative, you will be responsible for dispatching our contracted carrier partners, as well as helping book outside carriers for our brokered client freight loads.  You will be working out of our very nice office located across from the Belden Village Mall in Canton, Ohio. This is not a work from home position, however we do provide the ability to access our systems from anywhere in the world, if need be, to solve issues and handle our business.

Your responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
-You will handle a dedicated fleet for our contracted carrier partners
-Negotiating rates with freight brokers and shippers to dispatch to our contracted carrier partners
-Supplying our carrier partners with the vital information they need to pick up and deliver loads safely and efficiently
-Communicating in transit updated effectively to our sales reps and/or clients
-Negotiating and selling shipments to our ever expanding carrier base
-Building loads in our online system
-Sending assigned carriers all of the necessary documentation and instructions to perform a flawless transport of our clients' freight
-Keeping tabs on all shipments that you are responsible for, ensuring the loads are picked up on time, delivered on time, and handling any situations that arise in between
-Communicating all information effectively to our Business Development Managers, so they can, in turn, relay the information to our clients

Candidates Must:
-Be a team player
-Have outstanding phone and computer skills
-Be able to thrive in a fast paced, and oftentimes stressful environment
-Be able to keep a cool head and multitask under pressure 
-Have the undying passion to be successful

Sales experience is a huge plus. Logistics experience is not required. We will train the right candidates.
